Recipe: The Pepperoni Pizza Sandwich

This is a sandwich my girlfriend likes to make. It’s nothing crazy, but a good alternative to the boring PB & J  or ham and cheese. It’s healthy and it can give you some food for thought for other recipes (har har har). You can make it more like a pizza and throw in some bruschetta which would be amazing. So here it is: a cheap, easy, and healthy alternative to the mundane lunch.

1. Bread
2. Sliced Cheese ( mozzarella or provolone)
3. Pepperoni (regular or turkey)
4. Olives (black, green or both)
5. Deli Turkey (Gotta use the Boars Head)
6. Lettuce
7. Kraft Caesar Italian Dressing (any dressing could work)

Ingredients

How to prepare your pizzawich:

1. You will want your sandwich toasted so that the cheese will melt like a pizza, so first set your oven to 350, line a baking sheet with aluminum foil to eliminate the mess and trouble of washing the sheet.

2. On one piece of bread begin layering in this order; cheese, pepperoni ( about 5), olives, and turkey.

3. Lay other plain piece of bread on baking sheet next to it so it gets toasted also, then put in oven for five minutes. (leave in a little longer if you like your bread extra toasted)

4. Pull out of oven, finish sandwich with lettuce and Caesar Italian dressing.

5. Put together and enjoy the taste of a sandwich and a pizza in just five minutes!
