Scars on Broadway Album Review

August 16, 2008

Artist: Scars on Broadway
Album: Self Titled
Genre: Hard Rock with Punk/Sludge/Stoner/80’s Influences
Label: Interscope Records

I have very mixed feelings about this album. I’ve been a long time System of a Down fan, so my interest for this band came naturally. System of a Down’s freshman release is my favorite album all time, Toxicity and Steal this Album are also up there. Their last 2 albums were a bit of a disappointment; even though I enjoyed them thoroughly, it was leaps and bounds different from their previous releases and style. I feel Daron has taken a step backwards with this release under Scars on Broadway the same way System took a step backwards with Hypnotize and Mesmerize.

St. Bernadus Abt 12

August 1, 2008

Holy shit. Holy shit. Yes, I had to say it twice. This beer is fucking amazing. I never had a tongue for Belgian brews but holy shit, holy shit this is amazing. Now I’m half Belgian and half Irish, but American born and raised so my pallete heavily favors the American micros. Either way I’m a fucking drunkard and would marry beer if it was legal.

Babe of the Week: Vida Guerra

August 1, 2008

Sorry this one is so late, all the writers were out of town on a road trip. This week’s babe is Vida Guerra. Besides being gorgeous, she has an ass that goes on for days (and a rack to match).

Warning, an ASSload of pics ahead.

Soulfly Conquer Album Leaked

July 23, 2008

This is one leaky weeky. Second leak of the week, this time around it is Soulfly’s Conquer. From what I’ve heard Max has gone back to his Sepultura roots while maintaining their Soulfly style. Album Review to come, and the cover(s) is fucking sick.

Recipe: The Pepperoni Pizza Sandwich

July 22, 2008

This is a sandwich my girlfriend likes to make. It’s nothing crazy, but a good alternative to the boring PB & J  or ham and cheese. It’s healthy and it can give you some food for thought for other recipes (har har har). You can make it more like a pizza and throw in some bruschetta which would be amazing. So here it is: a cheap, easy, and healthy alternative to the mundane lunch.

Recipe: Rootsky

July 18, 2008
A good bottle is an empty bottle

A good bottle is an empty bottle

2oz Whiskey
6oz Root Beer

This is my favorite drink. I love root beer and I love whiskey, why not combine em? Of course the recipe can be tweaked to whatever proportions you want. I figured these measurements are a good starting point. The amount of whiskey you use is directly proportional to ball size. I usually use just a drop of root beer. Now the only choice for root beer is Barq’s, if you drink anything else you’re gay, it’s a proven fact.

Game Review: Ncaa 2009

July 18, 2008
Darren Mcfadden is the newest cover boy

Darren Mcfadden is the newest cover boy

Although my love for college football is bordering on obsession I went into the store weary of the newest installment of the ever popular NCAA series. With last years release being nothing more than a port from the old gen models, and no competition to spur EA into immediate improvements I must admit I thought this game would follow last years trend. However this years version exceeds almost every expectation I had.

The game play is a lot more responsive in this years version with a heavy lean in focus on the running game. Moving the joystick left to right not only moves your player in that direction but if done quickly enough causes player to cut quickly to either avoid direct bone jarring hits or even being touched all together. This quick cut like motion is also helpful to set up defenders to one side while quickly turning back to the hole you originally intended on.
